FramePair
Privacy Policy
How FramePair handles information when you capture, edit, export, or purchase FramePair Pro.
Your recordings and edits
FramePair stores captured photos, videos, edits, thumbnails, and related recording metadata locally on your device in its app library. FramePair does not operate an account system or upload this media to an aqualley server. You control deletion of app-library items.
Device permissions
Camera and microphone access are used only to capture photos and video when you choose to record. Photos access is requested only when you choose to save or export media to your photo library. You can change these permissions in iOS Settings.
Teleprompter content
Teleprompter text is kept locally on your device. It is displayed as a capture overlay and is not embedded into exported media unless you independently add it through another tool.
Subscriptions and purchases
Apple processes payments for FramePair Pro. FramePair uses RevenueCat to verify subscription status and manage purchase access. RevenueCat may process an anonymous app user identifier, purchase and subscription status, device and diagnostic information needed to provide that service. aqualley does not receive your Apple payment-card details.
Optional usage analytics
When “Share anonymous usage” is enabled in FramePair Settings, the app sends limited feature-use events to PostHog Cloud in the United States. Events include a random FramePair-specific identifier, session identifier, app version and development/production status, plus actions such as completing a capture or export and selecting a frame ratio. These events help us improve the app. They do not contain your photos, videos, audio, teleprompter text, filenames, or contact details. We disable advertising tracking, session replay, and geolocation enrichment.
Usage sharing is enabled by default in versions after build 40 when no preference has been saved. Build 40 defaults to off. Your existing choice to turn sharing off is preserved. You can turn it off in Settings at any time. This stops further collection, discards unsent events, and resets the local analytics identifier; it does not remove events already received by PostHog. See PostHog’s privacy policy for information about that service.
Sharing and backups
When you export or share a file, the destination you select—such as Photos or another app—handles it under its own privacy practices. If you enable iCloud or another device backup service, your local FramePair data may be included according to that service’s settings.
Children
FramePair is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as FramePair changes. The current version will be posted on this page. For privacy questions or requests, contact info@aqualley.net.
