Delete your data
How to delete your photos and results in the app, and how to have the other records linked to your Flashroll User ID deleted.
Delete your photos and results in the app
Flashroll has no accounts. In Flashroll, open Settings › Delete my photos. This removes your dumps and results from your phone at once and asks aqualley’s server to delete every photo and result it keeps for you, including a photo you reported. The app shows whether the server copies have been deleted or are still being deleted, and tries again until they are. Deleting a single dump in History removes it from your phone.
Ask us to delete your other records
What we keep is linked to the anonymous User ID the app shows in Settings.
- In Flashroll, open Settings and copy your User ID.
- Email info@aqualley.net with the subject “Delete my Flashroll data” and paste the User ID.
- We confirm by email and delete the records within 30 days.
What is deleted
aqualley’s server records linked to that User ID: the private copies of your photos and results, the photos you started (job identifiers, the look and whether each one succeeded), your reports and their notes, your notification registration (push token, time zone and offers choice), your invite code and the cached status of your purchases. We also ask our purchase-verification service to delete its customer record for the ID.
What is kept
The count of credits already used from each purchase is kept, keyed only to the App Store’s or Google Play’s identifier for that purchase, so a purchase cannot be spent twice. The one-way hash of a device identifier that marks a phone’s special-offer timer and invite reward as used is also kept, so an offer or a reward counts once per phone. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases under their policies. Records kept without your User ID are not linked to you and stay until they expire: usage analytics events and crash reports, which use separate random IDs (turn analytics off in Settings to stop both). Dumps and results on your phone stay in Flashroll until you delete them in the app or uninstall it; photos you saved to your gallery or shared stay there.
See the Privacy Policy for everything Flashroll handles.
