Cutkind: Hairstyle Try On by aqualley
Delete your data
How to delete your photos and previews in the app, and how to have the other records linked to your Cutkind User ID deleted.
Delete your photos and previews in the app
Cutkind has no accounts. In Cutkind, open Settings › Delete my photos and results, or use Delete on a single result. This removes your photos and previews from your phone at once and asks aqualley’s server to delete its private copies of your previews, including a preview that is still being made. The app shows whether the server copy has been deleted, is still being deleted or could not be deleted yet, and keeps retrying until it has an answer.
Ask us to delete your other records
What we keep is linked to the anonymous User ID the app shows in Settings.
- In Cutkind, open Settings and copy your User ID.
- Email info@aqualley.net with the subject “Delete my Cutkind data” and paste the User ID.
- We confirm by email and delete the records within 30 days.
What is deleted
aqualley’s server records linked to that User ID: the private copies of your previews, the previews you started (job identifiers, the cut and texture you chose and whether each one succeeded), your reports of previews and the cached status of your purchases. We also ask our purchase-verification service to delete its customer record for the ID.
What is kept
The count of credits already used from each purchase is kept, keyed only to the App Store’s or Google Play’s identifier for that purchase, so a purchase cannot be spent twice. Apple and Google keep their own records of your purchases under their policies. Records kept without your User ID are not linked to you and stay until they expire: usage analytics events, which use a separate random ID (turn analytics off in Settings to stop them), and the one-way hash that marks a phone’s free preview as used. Photos and previews on your phone stay in Cutkind until you delete them in the app or uninstall it.
